Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a bizarre collaboration that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden group.
The mission centers on "strange trials and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
