In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters slowed down my talk don't think I can make the flight we are heading to the airport".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an amazing helper".

These exchanges were released on this week alongside over 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets managed to confirm his identity by matching the timeline, occurrences, and places mentioned.

For example, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as the president's key aides in the run up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a documentary about Epstein before his passing and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a recording of his show earlier this year, he stated: "We're going to release the film, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the newly released materials indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile occasionally seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A few days before the exchange in which Epstein seemed to booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you're well looked after."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit issue this day with Farage, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the embattled UK prime minister at the time, he continued: "They are attempting to move on. May soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think remaining as much as you can in the UK. Ideal- so people get the dedication of your follow through."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely BUT the people over here have little courage" and added "Boris ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in May 2019 after surviving two votes of no confidence in late 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed media: "Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter took place.

The Congress will decide next week on whether the justice department should release all its records related to its probe into Epstein, who passed away in jail in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was reignited recently after the release of over 20,000 documents from his estate.

Some of those mentioned the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for years, but claims they fell out in the 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
